SMA wire is thin and soft, and sensitive to tension and positioning — improper gripping easily damages or misaligns it. ESML designs dedicated precision positioning and gripping mechanisms around SMA wire characteristics, controlling assembly force and position before fixing, to ensure consistency.

The assembly is powered to verify actuation function, in series with visual and geometric dimensional inspection; results are archived automatically for per-piece traceability.
